Lexie Jacobson, CVOM
Co-Founder & Board Secretary-Treasurer

Lexie is the Co-Founder and Board Secretary-Treasurer of Warhorse Cavalry, where she combines her lifelong passion for horses with her commitment to serving veterans and first responders. A Certified Veterinary Operations Manager (CVOM) and seasoned hospital manager, Lexie brings years of leadership experience in veterinary medicine, operational management, and team development to the organization.
Growing up in a rodeo family in Utah, Lexie developed a deep respect for the grit, discipline, and healing power of the Western way of life. Today, she and her husband, Jared, share their small Texas ranch with their horses, donkey, goats, dogs, the cat Stetson and chickens—many of whom play a key role in Warhorse Cavalry’s mission.
As a cancer survivor, Lexie understands firsthand the profound emotional and physical challenges of recovery. Her rescue horse played a significant role in her own healing journey, inspiring her to create a space where veterans and first responders can experience the same strength, peace, and connection that horses provide. Lexie has also stood alongside family members through their mental health struggles, giving her a deep compassion for those fighting battles both seen and unseen. Lexie’s vision for Warhorse Cavalry is rooted in the belief that horses can restore peace, strength, and purpose to those who have served. She is dedicated to building programs that foster connection, resilience, and healing through hands-on horsemanship and equine-assisted therapy.
When she’s not working on the nonprofit or managing her veterinary hospital, you can find Lexie at local rodeos, or enjoying time with her family and friends on the ranch.
